Hello… I’m VE7VNA, Dan in Langford. I currently host the 7pm Tuesday evening Rag Chew on WARA’s 2M repeater. We had such fun last year that I thought, LET’S DO IT AGAIN! I’m encouraging a group event… so bring your own radios, bring your own chairs, bring your own lunch, and certainly bring the family!
This is a great opportunity for you to do a POTA activation if you want, but as an individual and not as our club (note Field Day is coming soon!). Personally I’ll be working on an EFHW antenna hoping to hit the 80m band (and others). I’ll bring an older HF transceiver and battery, and I’ll probably bring my 10m radio and 10m antenna too. My 2m handheld will be tuned to 146.580 while there for local communications. It’s a radio picnic! Bring what ya got, and if you don’t got come anyway! Let’s have some fun!
NOTE: Bad weather will wash out this event.
