Marathon Thanks

Thanks to the over 50 radio operations volunteers who helped out at the Victoria Marathon on October 11, 2015. One of our main goals is to provide support to tired and injured runners by notifying net control of situations requiring assistance. We work closely with the Medical Tent, St. John Ambulance and BC Ambulance. The race participants and the race committee truly appreciate our help. WARA’s public service activities provide the opportunity for amateur radio operators to practice their skills and help the community. Thanks everyone.
