5 WARA members came to Esquimalt Lagoon on 2025-08-03. VA7TNR achieved 52 POTA QSOs. Our equipment was demonstrated to the general public and many questions were answered.
Hello again… I’m VE7VNA, Dan in Langford. I host the Tuesday 7pm Rag Chew & Thursday 8:15pm Newcomers Net on WARA’s 2M repeater. I’m planning another picnic with our radios on Sunday, August 3 from 10am to 2pm at the Esquimalt Lagoon. I’ll be near the washrooms, but there’s tons of space to set up! I’m encouraging a group event… so bring your own radios, bring your own chairs, bring your own lunch, and certainly bring the family. We’ll use a local simplex frequency of 146.580 to stay in touch.
