It was wet, but very interesting. The T-Bird club had 66 T-Birds out, down from their estimated 100. Might have been the liquid sunshine that caused that. There was very good cooperation with them and us using the space, with their interest in Amateur radio and our interest in the beautiful cars it added to the enjoyment. Because the car club was there a count was not kept of the general public. A conservative guess would be about 150 people from the general public. There were about 50 Hams there over the 2 days, and about 35 people out for the barbecue supper.
Now the best part:
- CW contacts 357
- Voice (phone) 183
- There were also contacts on digital, 6-m and 2-m.
Heritage acres has been booked again for next year as it is a very good location for amateur radio. Click here for the WARA Field Day Page to see reports and pictures of 2011 Field Day. 73 VE7GOF, Co-chair Field day Committee
