Thank you, Roger, for your excellent presentation – Operating on 630-metres. Why? and How? The WARA members (about 28) who attended thoroughly enjoyed the numerous slides and the facts which you had researched.
It was informative with the early history of wireless on the BC west coast both on land and on sea. Your technical presentation, which included data and SSTV transmissions to and from other BC radio amateurs in Vancouver, was superb.
The WARA Ham Class is now meeting in the CRD Commons Room on Government at Fisgard with an enthusiastic group of soon-to-be hams. We are more than half way through the course and students are now visiting local ham stations. Here Pete, Eva, Chris and Ian visit with Rick VE7TK.
Many thanks to Brian Summers VE7JKZ for his presentation titled “Erecting a tower/antenna in Saanich” at the February 20th WARA member meeting. Very informative.
There was a great turnout of 26 members and guests who enjoyed coffee, cookies, and conversation prior to and after the presentation. Three members took away Pelican cases.
Next meeting March 20, 2018 – Operating on 630-metres. Why? and How? Roger Graves VE7VV – Please join us!
